Our Keynote Speaker: Carrie Barrepski
When Carrie moved to Massachusetts, the Springfield Republican began publishing her column, Carrie Writes, every Wednesday in the Metro Plus section.
It Carrie’s hope that as a result of her columns, people will be more aware of disability issues and she will have a positive impact on the disabled community.
In 2013, she became a a Lakishmi Voelker chair yoga teacher. With chair yoga, her hope is to bring the joy of yoga to people with disabilities like herself.
As a columnist, her objective is to help and inspire people to live their best life while teaching the community about disability awareness. The goal of her work is to raise awareness of disability issues while helping people cope with everyday life from experiences in yoga and life.
