HSF Administrative Professionals Event

In today’s ever changing office environment the people we rely on are our Administrative Professionals and support staff. The HSF Administrative Professionals Event provides opportunities to network, share ideas, problems and solutions with other professionals, and return to your job with renewed enthusiasm.

We will start our day together, with a brief keynote from each of our presenters.  They will share their expertise and tips in each of their disciplines. Join us for a day of learning, self-care, and skill building.

In addition to the keynote, participants choose ONE of four workshops.

WORKSHOP #1

Learn, Laugh, and Let Go!

Presenter – Robert Rivest, Health and Stress Relief Educator and Speaker

Robert Rivest shares his unique health and well-being practice blending mindfulness, stress relief and laughter. In this seminar, tension relieving breathing techniques and mindful meditations flow gently into a full body warm-up, then gracefully into light, flowing, tai-chi like movement. These calming movements glide right into a session of laughter exercises and improv games. The seminar closes with a peaceful, guided relaxation. This joyful journey that leaves participants energized and uplifted, yet very relaxed and peaceful.

WORKSHOP #2

Eating Healthy on a Busy Schedule

Presenter – Kristen O’Brien, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist

Do you ever find yourself running out the door in the morning with no time for breakfast and nothing prepared? Do you often catch yourself grabbing take-out or fast food for lunch because you are on-the-go and are not sure when you will have time to sit down and eat?  In this workshop, attendees will learn how to make healthier, more cost effective choices while working a busy schedule. Kristen O’Brien, Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist, will lead an interactive workshop on meal preparation, cost savings, and balancing work and health. Learn how to make the most of your time, get what you need to get done, and taking care of yourself too!

WORKSHOP #3

Staying Fit with a Desk Job

Presenter – Elizabeth Lenart, National and International Fitness Presenter and Educator

Studies have shown that sitting all day can be detrimental to your health, but what if your job requires it? In this workshop, attendees will have an opportunity to learn how to keep healthy and active while sitting at a desk throughout the day. Through easy physical activities, food choices, and technology, you can develop a healthy lifestyle. Specialist and Master Trainer, Elizabeth Lenart will lead this workshop incorporating both movement and learning.

WORKSHOP #4

Positive Communication without Apologies

Presenter – Christine Singer, Workshops for Success

This workshop will provide an overview on the causes of your challenging workplace conflict as it affects positive communication towards creating and supporting harmonious professional relationships at work. The emphasis will be on stating positive intent without the need to continually apologize for your actions or those of your team members. Ten ideas will be presented including how to address people with different personality types and gossiping.
