Topic: The Certificate Program will provide human service workers, such as bilingual or bicultural caseworkers, with the requisite social work skills and competencies necessary to effectively service their clients. Direct care workers are on the front lines of human service delivery. They work with a variety of populations, in a variety of positions, without the benefits of undergraduate human service or social work education. This program will provide these workers with the necessary knowledge, values, and skills that can enhance their effectiveness with clients. The multiple sessions will be scheduled in four-hour and two-and-a-half-hour sessions. The teaching modality will include mini-lectures, experiential exercises, and class discussions.

Fees: $239 per person
$209 if registering 3 or more from same agency
$259 if registering after August 30, 2010

Prerequisite: All participants must be working in the human service field.
