Dakin Humane Society is hiring an Associate Director of Development. We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our development team and help Dakin build our network of support.

Under the supervision of the Director of Development & Marketing, the Associate Director of Development plans and implements strategies for all aspects of annual giving, donor cultivation, and donor data management to obtain the financial resources necessary to support Dakin’s work.

This is a mission-critical position and understanding that Dakin is here to serve pets and people equally is of utmost importance. Strong fund development and marketing strategies allow us to help thousands of animals and people in need each year and we cannot accomplish our work without philanthropic support, volunteer and community engagement, and public awareness. We have a highly skilled team and effective operational processes in place to support the department’s efficiency.

Candidates must have a demonstrated track of soliciting major gifts from individuals and corporations. Grant writing experience is a plus. Applicants must also have at least 5 years experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a minimum two years experience managing direct reports. This position is expected to be on-site at our Springfield, MA location with the possibility of one day a week remote.

Full-time, exempt position. Salary range: $65,000-70,000 annually
