DESCRIPTION:Description: The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA) is dedicated to educating the public about brain injury\, as well as providing the latest information and resources to survivors\, professionals\, caregivers\, and families. The “Scope of\nABI” presentation highlights what a brain injury is\, its prevalence\, and ways in which one may be able to utilize resources and support services at BIA-MA. We review the common causes of acquired brain injury (ABI)\, discuss factors which affect recovery and\noutcomes\, and describe common consequences of ABI – including cognitive\, physical\, and behavioral changes. \nPresented by: ​Helen Stewart\, Consultant & Amy Chapman-Johnson – NeuroResource Facilitator
