SUMMARY:Celebrating the Career of Clare Higgins
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening honoring Clare Higgins’ extraordinary decades of leadership while launching the Clare Higgins Fund for Community Resilience —a vital initiative to ensure Community Action Pioneer Valley (CAPV) can continue providing essential programs and support for the 28\,000+ neighbors we serve each year across Franklin and Hampshire counties. \nHonoring Clare’s Legacy\nClare Higgins has dedicated her career to the belief that all people\, regardless of income or circumstance\, deserve opportunity\, voice\, and respect. Her decades of service have powerfully shaped CAPV’s work—rooted in dignity\, equity\, and community-led change. As Clare retires\, we celebrate her vision of stronger\, more just\, and more connected communities. \nThe Clare Higgins Fund for Community Resilience\nEach year\, CAPV partners with over 28\,000 neighbors across Franklin and Hampshire counties to build paths toward economic stability\, resilience\, and thriving lives. As federal funding becomes less reliable\, the Clare Higgins Fund will provide long-term support to preserve the essential programs\, staffing\, and infrastructure that serve as lifelines for thousands of families. \nThis fund reflects Clare’s core belief in opportunity and respect for all\, ensuring that CAPV can continue to be a trusted source of stability and hope—even in uncertain times. A gift to the Fund is an investment in the future: a future where communities are stronger\, more just\, and more connected—just as Clare envisioned. \nOur goal is to raise $100\,000 at this event to contribute to the Clare Higgins Fund for Community Resilience\, with a total goal of $500\,000 to honor her leadership while securing the future of vital community services. \nEvent Goal\nOur goal is to raise $100\,000 at this event to contribute to the Clare Higgins Fund for Community Resilience\, honoring leadership while securing the future of vital community services.
