DESCRIPTION:United Way of Pioneer Valley will host a Volunteer Fair for all of Hampden County on Thursday\, March 27th from 3:30-6:00pm. It will be located at the newly renovated Hope for Youth Performing Arts Center in Springfield. Nonprofits from all across Hampden County are invited to table at the event. \nThis is a free event for the public to come and learn about the amazing work these nonprofits are doing\, and ways to volunteer. The event will be catered with light finger appetizers and cash bar by White Lion Brewing will be available as well. The Hope for Youth Performing Arts Center staff will also be on site to tour attendees around the revamped performance space which is set to open in June! \nBe the first to explore this amazing youth arts center while browsing opportunities to get involved in your community. \nParking validation will be available for attendees parked in the Columbus Center Parking garage.

DESCRIPTION:Join Hampshire HOPE\, Northampton Recovery Center\, DART\, and Northampton Department of Health & Human Services for a FREE regional screening of Recovery City\, a documentary that follows four women’s journeys of recovery set in Worcester\, MA\, followed by a panel Q&A featuring the filmmaker and three of the film participants.This is a FREE event open to all community members on Thursday\, March 27 with doors opening at 6 PM and film beginning at 6:30 PM at the Academy of Music 274 Main Street\, Northampton\, MA. Bridget\, who found recovery while in prison\, now facilitates peer-led support meetings for women. On the frontlines\, recovery coaches Janis and Rebecca navigate the city’s toughest corners offering support and trying to save lives. In this portrait of resilience\, grit\, and camaraderie\, the women use their lived experience to lift up those still struggling while refusing to give up hope.
