River Valley Counseling Center, Inc. (RVCC) was founded in 1953 and is a multifaceted community-based behavioral health care agency dedicated to serving the needs of the people in the Pioneer Valley. RVCC is an affiliate of Holyoke Medical Center and in 1987 became a member of Valley Health Systems. RVCC serves over 7,000 people a year. RVCC operates four outpatient behavioral health clinics in Holyoke, Chicopee, Easthampton, and Springfield. RVCC also has clinicians located in Holyoke Medical Center (HMC) medical offices on campus, including HMC’s Weight Management Program and Comprehensive Care Center and throughout HMC sites in Hampden County. We provide mental health services throughout the Holyoke, Chicopee, Easthampton and Granby school systems as well as select schools in Springfield, Hadley, and Hatfield. We have an office based on the campus of Springfield Technical Community College, providing behavioral health services to students. RVCC's School-based Health Centers (Teen Clinics) at Peck School/Veritas Prep, Holyoke High School North Campus, and Dean Campus are a huge resource for students and parents. The Teen Clinics offer an array of services including comprehensive health assessments and physical exams and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. RVCC also offers the HIV/AIDS Project, CONCERN Employee Assistance Program, and is a provider of the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI). RVCC is also the behavioral health provider for the clients of WestMass Eldercare Inc., LifePath, ROCA, Enlace de Familias, and Womanshelter/Companeras.
