In-Service Training – Scope of Aquired Brain Injury

Description: The Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA) is dedicated to educating the public about brain injury, as well as providing the latest information and resources to survivors, professionals, caregivers, and families. The “Scope of
ABI” presentation highlights what a brain injury is, its prevalence, and ways in which one may be able to utilize resources and support services at BIA-MA. We review the common causes of acquired brain injury (ABI), discuss factors which affect recovery and
outcomes, and describe common consequences of ABI – including cognitive, physical, and behavioral changes.
